The Ten-Million Dollar Trap

Emma Sinclair keeps her wealth under wraps as a student, obeying her father's demand for a frugal life: an old car, cheap clothing, and the role of a cash-strapped classmate. Her roommate Bella, a cheerleader obsessed with appearances, gains access to Emma's phone without permission and moves ten million dollars out of it. Upon learning what happened, Emma gets shoved from a hotel rooftop in Dubai. Jason, the basketball player she adored, had already hit her in public and branded her a liar. She died alone. Waking again on the morning Bella floats the Dubai idea, Emma chooses a new strategy. She pretends to misplace her phone and switches to an ancient Nokia, then steers Bella toward five million dollars' worth of luxury purchases that cannot be returned. When the bill arrives, Bella cannot pay and is humiliated. Jason sells his sneakers and pushes his credit cards to the limit for her, yet his followers leave. Ashley alone offers an apology. Businessman Victor Sterling then announces Emma's true position as the Sinclair heiress. Bella faces fraud charges; Jason loses all.
