Married to a Fisherman, But He Is Poseidon

After being killed by her envious sister, noblewoman Aloryn is reborn. To secure her future, she throws a silver token into the sea, declaring that the man who retrieves it will be her husband. A fisherman returns the token, and Aloryn chooses him, though others ridicule her for marrying so far beneath her station. The fisherman is actually Poseidon in disguise. Aloryn endures taunts from her sister and a haughty prince, who force her to walk over burning embers. Poseidon's fury at her suffering leads him to reveal his true nature and punish those who wronged her. Yet his mother Rhea imposes harsh trials on Aloryn, testing her kindness and willingness to sacrifice. Only by passing these trials can Aloryn earn Rhea's approval and her place beside Poseidon.
